why I stopped at two

I don't care what Jack Johnson says. Three is CLEARLY not a magic number.

By just adding one little noggin, the fighting increases exponentially.

1 sister + 1 brother + 1 good family friend = Evil Tag Teaming and Bickering Galore.

I'll admit: There were some sweet moments of quiet, a couple of peace agreements brokered along the way.

(And I'm happy to help out when my friends were out of town, really I am.)

But that bus can't roll up fast enough for me. Scrubbing toilets and folding clothes all by my lonesome sounds divine.

I grew up in a family of three and I would never do that to my kids. Oi! We're having four.

Ummm...wait...that could end up as 3 against 1 instead...dang...

Right after I had my youngest I used to joke that my epitaph should read "Three is A LOT" because that's what I used to mutter over and over again in a sort of daze during the earlier months of three kids. :P

But it's a dynamic that has obviously worked really well for us in the long run, and the plus side is that now when we add family friends we hardly notice the difference. You just sort of toss them all together and they form their own little government and elect officials and turn on the video games and drag out old toys and only come out when they're hungry.

can I just ay that is why I LOVE Mondays? Kid at school, hubby at work, no volunteer items scheduled...just a quiet day of vacuuming and mopping and laundry...and I LOVE it.

Oh! I'm sorry it was a hard weekend. Next time we find different childcare and YOU come with US! (I'm thinking of BlogHer, friend...Say yes...).

Glad to be home - shall we go for a drink tonight??

I was having this same issue tonight at dinner. Lillian plus two brothers means trouble constantly lately. She needs to be in solitary I think.

A third child would put me into a mental institution.

Wait, that sounds like a nice vacation...
