cough syrup and eye candy

After Lexi had her first asthma attack in years, we spent the afternoon in urgent care, gearing up for nightfall.

With Albuterol in hand and a mountain of laundry waiting for me, I stopped by Blockbuster for a little something something to pass the time.

King Henry & Anne Boleyn, in my favorite sexy historical soap

Now serious historians make take issue with the twisting of truth, especially in the first season of The Tudors. It's a Showtime production, and it is full of hanky panky; the royals in this depiction are not chaste.

But I am fascinated with this show - the pageantry and the politics and the power of the Pope; the beginning of Protestantism.

Oh. And the King? He's pretty too. It certainly doesn't hurt.

What a great idea. I missed this when it ran on TV. I love historical fiction. Thanks for the tip.

p.s. I may need to watch someone get their head waxed after the night I'm going to be having.

Even better than Henry is Charles. And he only gets better in season two. You're going to love it!

dang. that is one pretty king. maybe i need to check this show out.
I saw commericals for this once upon a time and was so intrigued. I think Neil might forever lose respect for me if he caught me watching it though, more's the pity.

He IS pretty...ooo...
What?! He looks like Spock. Too skinny and his ears seem pointy. You can have him....
oooh delicious. Please tell me this is available on Netflix...

I'm so sorry about Lexi's attack. I hope she is feeling better.

This series looks deliciously naughty.

My sister loves this show. I haven't seen it. But those yes, oy, those eyes.

I hope Lexi is over the worst of it : )
I bet it's available on Netflix. I surely hope so.

(Spock? Did you say Spock?)

I have never seen a whole episode of that show, but it is on my list of ones to watch on my next trip home...i keep downloading bits and pieces from youtube...da-yam! kind of steamy, me thinks!

hope all is better with lexie...having a little one sick is so hard. {{hugs}} to you both!

The decadence is irresistible.

Though I hate that my history degree background keeps making me face the fact that Henry was nowhere close to being as hottiehothot as Jonathan...Stupid brain.

*Love to Lexi*

I saw that at blockbuster too this weekend, and while I was intrigued, I got scared when it said it was a series... I hate getting wrapped up in stuff...
does look delicious, though.

It's not really hanky panky... sometimes it is downright soft core porn! But fairly historically accurate, so acceptable. Enjoy.

Because it is a Showtime/CBC Canada production, I can watch seasons 1&2 on my laptop without commercial interruption... that's how I got through the flu last week myself!
