these days

If I should be robbed of tomorrow's here and now, I pray these memories linger: Driving down the highway with the windows down, radio blaring, our three voices earnestly singing along, off-key.

Some of my favorite childhood memories are in the car, singing like fools, with my mom.

I don't recall, though, if at the time I rolled my eyes at her the way Carlie rolls her at me.

You know I feel the same. :-)

Sweet, sweet joy.
Get your motor running
Head out on the highway
Looking for adventure
In whatever comes our way

Like that?!

Just for the record....it's mandatory to sing in the car when Mommy is driving...loud and with windows down preferred!!

That mountain shot reminds me of the road we have to take to get to my friends house in Denver...at the top of one hill, there is a view of the Rocky Mountains that seriously, sometimes just takes my breath away. We stop at almost everytime we take that road....just to look. It's important for me to imprint it in my memory to last until I see it again.

Sweet shot, sweeter memory.

All too soon they will be asking for the car keys. Treasure these moments.

That mountain makes me want to go on a road trip. And sing. Beautiful picture.
I need a road trip like THAT.

I hope my kids remember that we do this too. :o)
Is there something else to do in a car besides Sing? because I thought that was like a rule or something: driving = singing.

At least in my house...
